Treatment Options
Our team of skilled wound care providers will meet with you and develop an individualized treatment plan that is best suited for your specific type of wound. The following is simply a list of some of the advanced wound care treatment options that we offer.
Debridement
This is the removal of the unhealthy tissue from your wound. Doing this helps promote wound healing and is a key factor in triggering your body’s natural response to heal!
Compression Therapy
Compression therapy is used to help control edema or swelling. We offer many different kinds of compression dressings, and also utilize long term custom-fitted compression stockings when needed as well.
Total Contact Casting
This is a specially designed cast intended to take weight off the foot (also called off-loading). This can be critical for optimal wound healing for wounds located on the foot or leg.
Negative Pressure Therapy
Negative pressure therapy is a method of drawing out fluid and infection from a wound to help it heal. A special dressing is sealed over the wound which then gently and continuously pumps the infection out and promotes the edges of the wound to pull together to heal.
Placental Based Bio Engineered Skin Substitutes
These tissue substitutes can be created from either cells from the placental/amniotic membrane of healthy donors or kerecis. These substitutes have shown incredible results, as it triggers your body’s natural response to heal.
Wound Dressing
We carry many different types of wound dressings to promote optimal wound healing. Your provider will determine which one is best suited for your wound as part of your personalized treatment plan.
Autologous Skin Grafts
This is a small skin graft taken from your own body that is used to then create a larger graft of your own skin. Using your own skin to heal a wound has shown incredible results, as your body has a very high acceptance and heal rate when it is created from your own cells.
Allogenic Skin Grafts
These are human skin grafts sourced from organ donors. They are typically cryogenically frozen or preserved until the time of application. These grafts have shown incredible results, as it triggers your body's natural response to heal.
Mist Therapy
Mist Therapy is a painless, non-contact, low-frequency ultrasound delivered through a fluid mist to the wound bed. This technology allows us to treat the wound below the surface, and also helps to treat infection, pain, and inflammation as well.
